Sesquicentennial. Statistically, one in four people spell that word incorrectly. The other three generally have no idea what it means. But despite those facts*, The University of Denver remained un-deterred from celebrating its 150 year span as one of Colorado’s original educational institutions.
The University’s vision was to build an experience that not only could serve as a hub for all sesquicentennial events through the year, but could also be leveraged as a touchpoint for students and alumni even after the celebration had run it’s course.
The entire experience was hooked to the LinkedIn API, allowing students and alumni an easy way to register and participate.
A rich timeline allowed for the exploration of the entire 150 year history. Not only that, students and alumni were able to post their own content.
